Girls Inc. will be hosting their annual golf scramble at the Country Club of Owensboro on July 29, serving as one of three yearly fundraisers for the local nonprofit dedicated to inspiring girls to be strong, smart, and bold.
Teams of four are $600 each, though individuals can also sign up. Skirts, mulligans, and 5th balls are available for purchase. The tournament will have a shotgun start at 9 a.m. Teams can win prizes including cash and gift certificates.
The money raised will help support Girls Inc. activities such as their summer programs.
“We look forward to a fun day of golf and supporting the mission of Girls Inc. to inspire all girls to be strong, smart, and bold,” said CEO Tish Correa Osborne. “Even those not able to participate in the event can show their support with a donation as a GIRLfriend or GUYfriend of Girls Inc.”
The event is presented by Domtar and Independence Bank. Refreshments will be provided by the Lure Smoke Shack and ATMOS Energy.
Sponsorship opportunities are also still available through July 22. Call Girls Inc. at 270-684-7833 or email Development Officer Lori Thurman at lori@girlsincowensboro.org.
